P0700 error

Hello everybody..
We are french et we have a pb with our jeep wrangler 4.0L (2004).
The orange engine light is on and the car is stuck in second gear.
The obd diagnostic signals the error P0700 : EATX CONTROLLER DTC PRESENT / READ TRANSMISSION DTCs
Have you ever encountered this pb ?
Do you know what we have to do in first ?

@LeWild The 0700 code is a generic code saying something is amuck on the transmission side of the Jeep. There is always an accompanying code that can be read by plugging into the OBD2 port and scanning the transmission side. Please let me know what the secondary code is and I can take the next step in determining whether or not it is the TCM.

Can you please send me an email to [email protected] with your vin and a copy of these DTC's? Out of country builds are sometimes a little peculiar. I will research on alldata and get back to you.
