"Pacing myself" build

Lol! I've been reading that one. This April is our 25th anniversary, so if she hasn't figured it out by now there is no hope for her!

That was a crazy thread! I’ve had a unique life experiences being married at 22 for 4 years, 2 kids, who are 14 and 12 now. Restraining orders, family threats, the occasional intervention. All that to be friends and in PC terms, co parents. The first time I saw my wife and my ex hug...... I about fainted and lights 💡 and sirens 🚨 went off in my head. All is well

Ive got reservations in Moab in April, sounds like there’s some interest in Slickrock trail and Deer Valley trail this year though and I keep threatening to do an overnight to Barrett Lake Trail

Sir ! Don’t threaten me with a good time

Tinkered with the jeep some today. Can't do a lot until I hear from Adams about my DS. Sean Woods was kind enough to send me a TC rear output yoke to rule the old one out when I sent my front DS to them for diagnosis a while back. So, I decided to install it. With the output yoke off, how much in/out play should the output shaft have? I can move it in/out at least 1/4". Seems excessive to me, but maybe that is normal?
Moved on to installing my MC front bumps. Pulled the springs, set to full bump,

With the full weight of the jeep on them I get 1-5/8" of hard bump. Shocks are really close.

About 1/4" of shaft left. I'm gonna let it go for now, but might add another 1/4" of bump to the bottom later.
Tires rub pretty good, but I'll call it acceptable for now.

Put it back together and flexed it some more.

I get a bit more cushion with the shocks. Real world trail flexing may vary some, but not by much me thinks.

One thing I knew was going to be a concern is the length of the new jounces. At full extension they rub against the spring some. I'll have to keep an eye on that. The factory jounces did a little too.

How much farther can you push the axle forward before your TB hits the diff? I would try to squeeze as much forward to give your tires clearance on the rear, and keep the springs from pulling as far back at droop.

Mine has next to no play. Not sure if that means anything, but I agree, seems a little excessive.

Finally got a call back from Adams. They couldn't find anything really wrong. He said it had a tiny bit of runout, so they are sending me a new drive shaft. Can't really complain about that, now can I? I installed a now rear output yoke and will re-visit the play on the output shaft.
