Piss & Moan Table

Three controls for food intake. What, how much and how often. If you find the sweet spot for these, you're on a gravy run. Hmmm, gravy... :p

I think this is the part that kills most people when trying to cut weight, that and the psychological aspect that goes with. Powering though the hunger phase to get to that point was the hardest part, for sure. Now it takes very little food to stave off hunger, and eating items with better energy conversion helps as well.

Before I did the low carb. thing , I would feel starving by the next meal . After 27 years of low carb. that doesn't happen at all . I dropped 45 lbs. and lowered LDL and triglycerides by 75% . I don't follow low carb as strictly as I did , however this is a much better way to live for me .

My favorite part about Jocko is that it actually tastes good. You don't have to force yourself to drink it.

Ok, all my fellow Gen Xers and older generations, what did we learn from a young age (but never cared enough to learn) about "taste"?

If it's good for you it probably doesn't taste good, and if it tastes good you probably shouldn't be eating/drinking it...😎

Oh wait... that's probably why our bodies hate us so vehemently now.

Funny, but so damn true!!!

To be fair , look at what they have for water to drink . I would really like for all of us , to have solid , health food and drink for us to enjoy ! However , I am thankful that we can have real conversations like this .

Yea, Greece would be better - you can drink their water anywhere. But its now part of the EU, which makes it an instant no-go.

One of my former guys lived in Greece for years when serving in the Sea Bees . It sounds like an interesting place .

I never understood the ‘low carb’ fad, carbs are as essential a macronutrient as fat and protein, the body needs balance for proper function. Eliminating garbage carbs, yes, that goes a long way towards healthy weight management – lose the Doritos, candy bars, donuts, sodas and about a million other similarly useless non-whole-food items from your diet & you will balance things out in due time provided you’re otherwise eating a reasonable amount of good calories and moving your body.

Weight management is simple, at least in concept, but it’s been made so artificially complicated by the usual suspects, big restaurant, big agriculture, big pharma, big diet/supplement/fitness & big brother, that people have convinced themselves that it’s on par with solving cold fusion.

Eat whole foods, not too much, move your body daily = healthy weight management.

I’ve done it for 60 years, and no I’m not ‘lucky’, there’s no such thing, and no it’s not ‘genetic’, there are overweight people in my immediate family.

Back in the 70’s, before America’s waistline exploded, obesity was the rare exception, now it’s practically the rule. We’re the same species with the same capabilities, so this sea change lies directly at our feet, a product of our own behavior.

Bummer that Coke uses corn syrup processed with sulfites , instead of sugar .
Tastes better in ... Mexico

Made with cane sugar, less carbonation. You can buy it here in 12oz glass (bottled in Mexico) and 8oz ponies (bottled in the US). They are more expensive but IF I feel like having a "coke", this is what I buy. Glass > plastic, tastes better, not as bad for you. I go for the 8oz six pack, more servings and smaller serving size so not as bad of a nutritional hit. I treat it like I would a small bit of ice cream.

I don't drink pop ( soda for you flat landers ) . But this sounds better than the normal stuff , now if they could remove the artificial color and preservatives .....

Carbs are not biologically essential.
