Went on a little camping trip this weekend with my Jeep club. Headed north to the Cadillac area and ran trails around the Manistee river. Nothing too technical, but it was Fun to get out. Lots of of camber and sand. September in Michigan can be a crapshoot regarding weather, but we lucked out. It was low 80’s and very sunny. Weather guy was calling for rain late Saturday night, so we made sure our rain flys were all attached. Ended up staying dry though. Broke camp about 8 am and went for breakfast and coffee. Made it home about 1 pm
Didn’t take too many pics. We had 8 rigs, 2 TJs, an LJ, 3 ‘Yotas, a new Ranger and one Subie Forester (no JKs!). Only had to pull a recovert rope once, because someone HAD to try the sole mud pit we ran across.
The camp site
A “high rollaway” on the Manistee
