Today I replaced the distributor, rotor, spark plugs, and wires to try and get rid of my p301 code (cylinder misfire). I replaced everything and it started up good took it for a spin a couple times and it was running a lot better. I took my scanner to try and clear the codes but it wouldn’t allow me to clear the codes. Read on some forms that you can clear the codes by unplugging the ecu. I unplugged the ecu wires and waited about 30mins. I started the car up and it started fine but was idling a little bit slow. I got to driving and everything seemed normal. I parked and went to drive again and the check engine light came back on. So I was slowly coming to a stop and I plugged in my scanner and the car shut off. I tried to start it back up again and it will crank over like it wants to start but never fires up. I had to get it towed back to my house. I need some help figuring out what my next move is.
