Project Basketcase!

The slotted plug trick is brilliant, Rick.

Thanks, though with every spot weld I wondered if I'd be welding the plug in place and making more work. 😂

I don't know why the nut plate came loose, from flopping on the window frame close by and then the stress of grab bars?

Anyone else ever have the nut plate come loose?

25$ on extreme terrain. One of the benefits of being this close to SF when you need protection with an old tranny?
Edit,Gonna be needing protection for a tranny 🤣🤣once I toss out this damn 42rle.

Oh that ain't bad ! Hahaaa🤣
And this is the part I mean for the newer jeeps....dummy expensive for what it is

buddy has one of these for sale taken out for Auto swap. in like new condition imagine he'd cut a deal on it, certainly far less then what the Extreme Terrain one goes for. bolts right up.

what year is his jeep? Cause i believe the newer jeeps are different because of the center console and where it bolts up too! I forgot if the shifter hole is different between the Ax15&NSG370 equipped jeeps (i hope not)

Got them under the jeep and had to figure out a way to use the lockers.didn't want to use the ridiculously overpriced and overcomplicated factory pump gizmos. I wound up buying a baby arb compressor and wiring kit. Then used a low pressure regulator,manifold,10 psi blow off valve and arb solenoids with 3/16" emissions hose to the diffs. It works great and is set at 5 psi. Compressor hardly cycles. And only because the 10psi blowoff valve is leaky.

The beauty of this setup is I'm ready for arb's when the stock lockers die from my stroker and right foot

Found a guy on ebay doing custom labeled switches that fit the tj switch sockets.for the amp ratings of the pump and solenoids i probably could have ran them direct but used relays to be safe

I know this is an older post, was wondering how you wired these switches with the arb wiring?

I used automotive relays to carry the loads, the switches are wired in on the triggering side of the relays. Power out of the relays are sent to the arb solenoids and pump.

The relays probably weren't necessary given that the pump and solenoids draw less amps than the switches are rated for.I'm suspicious of the quality of random ebay switches though so i went ahead with the relays.
