I picked up some spare parts today, if anything is left, I may have to make a trailer like this!

This week I also managed to to find a new Pavement ends Sprint top, that is missing some hardware for $175 shipped.

What are the spare parts for?

I bought the Jeep sight unseen, I was told there was no rust, turns out the Jeep was from Michigan[emoji849], so frame was shot and some body rusted out. I figured for $150 I would take it anyway, as it does have a good windshield frame and most of the rear panel if I can’t repair my current panel. If I don’t use it I figured I would make a cool trailer out of it!

I finally got back to work on Ole Blue today. I beat, bent, kicked, cussed and welded till I think it’s ready for a little bondo!

1.Wasn’t quite happy with the rear quarter so I did a bit more work on it, better now! 2.Sanded deep scratches out of door and got the primer on.
3. Thought I could pull the gasket from the windshield and repaint, but to do it right I’m going to have to remove the glass and then replace it.[emoji51]

Well Summer is upon us and my Jeep isn’t ready to go[emoji22]so I’ve decided to scrap the grand plan for tube fenders and full cage till the fall. Right now my goal is to get it back together and back on the road!

I got the glass out, but unfortunately I did cause a tiny crack,
Not while cutting it out, but actually while pulling the molding out, someone got way too carried away with the urethane![emoji849]

In the last couple of days, I’ve skinned down the windshield frame, prime it and blocked it. I also straightened out a waffle in the passenger rear quarter. Hopefully I’ll be ready for paint in a couple of weeks!

Bet it'll be a cold day in Hell before your son ever let's a friend drive one of his parents' rigs again. One bad decision sure lead to a lot of hard work! Still, what a lesson. You created something positive out of a bad situation. Looks awesome, by the way!

So I called the rep for my Pavement ends Sprint top that was torn in the roll over. They told me they couldn’t just sell me one panel, they said that the zippers wouldn’t be compatible, said I would have to buy a whole new top! What what do y’all think, kinda sounds like bs to me, regardless I’m gonna have to shell out another $400 for another top.

It that’s the case consider it a warning about buying their stuff and get something different. So every zipper is different? Who makes their zippers?

For sure! I know damn good and well each top isn’t custom made!! Fortunately I found a new one on eBay for $175 that was missing some hardware[emoji6]
