Question about red tab on crankshaft sensor plug

I am replacing the crankcase sensor on my 2004 TJ Sport w/auto transmission. My sensor is located on the bell housing on the passenger side of the jeep. There is a small red "tab" on the connector harness female end.
My question: Does the red tab slide or lift to free the harness from the crankshaft sensor. I am not getting it to move in any direction and do not want to use a LOT of force as the red tab appears to be plastic.

The tab with the thicker end should slide away from the connector, they can be a bitch sometimes.

Thanks for the info. Armed with this new info, I will give it a try on Wed., 1st chance I get to work on/near my TJ.
