I have been chasing down a vibration for a long time and have played with new driveshafts, rebalancing tires, new yokes on front and rear axles, and pinion angles. How much runout is acceptable on the sye shaft? My vibration starts around 50mph and up, and is felt in the seat . I took the driveshaft off and put it in first and let it idle and this is what the yoke looked like. Looks like a fair bit of play for 10mph or so . Its seen at the seal (which is also leaking now )

I would think any visible runout is in excess of what is acceptable. And if its killing the seal then you have your answer. I'm not sure if no load on the output shaft will affect the runout though.

I had vibes around that speed when I did my lift & SYE, it ended up being too low of a pinion angle. I would at least doublecheck that as well.
