Okay so I just passed up on a great 8.8 deal thinking it just wasnt for me. I had to regear anyway and it just seemed wrong for me. So my question is... How do I build a super 35 because im regearing and doing it soon so I would like to get this all done in the near future. Heres my issue. I dont exactly think I will need a locker.
Reasoning: I dont do any crazy offroad rock crawling, mostly minor/easy trails and things, summer beach driving. I do however daily drive in snow so I think I could stick in a limited slip. Lockers would be a nice luxury to have but realistically I dont think I need them since ive never had issues in the past. So what could you guys recommend. The shop im regearing at uses revolution gears. Which I know is good. What would you guys recommend and could you link me to what I need?

If you go no bigger than your present 33" tires and don't install a locker, you don't need a Super 35. Plus there's no easy way to install a Super 35 without installing a locker. I know of no 30 spline open carrier for the Dana 35 and I don't think you can get the Detroit Truetrac LSD in a 30 spline Dana 35 model any longer.. :)

So do you think I should just regear and call it a day or do they make a lim slip for my existing axle. And if so will the Dana 35 be able to run it with no issues?

Regear with a rearTruetrac (or front and back) and you would be fine in my opinion. Upgrade the axle shafts if you want to piece of mind.

A stock Dana 35 can run 33's with a Detroit Truetrac limited slip differential without a problem, within reason lol.

When I regear mine to 4.10, I just plan to add a rear Detroit Trutrac and alloy axle shafts. I don't want a rear Detroit locker, or the expense and added compressor for an ARB, so I decided against a Super 35. I run 33's btw.

Thanks guys ive been so indecisive over this because I was thinking lockers because im doing the diffs so i might as well do it but then i thought about if i really needed them so i think ill do some alloy shafts and trutrac instead.

Good choice, I think you are going to be happy. I have had Truetracs front and rear for 12 or 14 years and have been very happy with them.
