When I went to start my Tj this morning, the radio and heater did not continue onto the final turn of the key to start.
I would take a voltmeter and check each slot for power. It could be water for inside and shorted out the connection - a quick test will tell you that.@fuse , more in detail. When key is turned once into accessory "mode" the radio, heater, gauge cluster, and everything else works. But when key is turned further into start or "running" position, it all shuts off. It runs fine, just something weird with the electronics. I had washed it yesterday, and it has gotten wet. I pulled the fuses out one by one, and some were wet. I dried them off and sprayed WD-40, and I did not resolve anything.
The original title was “Fuse Help”. The irony of my joke is lost now...and my post will not disappear. What does @fuse have to do with this? I'm very confused.
haha I thought he was a professional or something. The original title was “Fuse Help”. The irony of my joke is lost now...and my post will not disappear.
I just got back from doing this, they did infect get shorted out. Now the question, how and where would water get in when washing it. Also keep in mind I am new to the Jeep community as I just got it for my first car.I would take a voltmeter and check each slot for power. It could be water for inside and shorted out the connection - a quick test will tell you that.
There are a few electronic pros on here that can help you. I’m just getting this thread some traction so they can chime inhaha I thought he was a professional or something.

Thanks!Yeah, I changed the title because the post itself seemed to have nothing to do with a fuse. But then when the OP tagged @fuse in it, I got the impression he was actually trying to get in touch with him, haha.
