Raising Rear Frame

The tank is out. We stand a chunk of 4 x up on a floor jack and lay another piece across the top of that to spread the load out and then jack it up just in front of the rear torque box.
How many of the body mount bolts do you remove when lifting the tub to get room to work on the rear?

All but two. We leave the first two in place threaded in but loose and completely remove the body mount under the grill so the grill can move down without bending the front fenders. We leave the two bolts in just in case we have some wind or an earthquake. I'd rather not try to figure out how to pick the body up and put it back on the frame.

The wind thing isn't a joke.

We had one of these sitting on the end of the driveway, it was 45 degrees to the wind direction, no shelves and just 3 sets of cross beams in it. 6' tall and the wind came up the other day and blew it over.

Then you gotta get them to all line back up. That scares me a little.
Not even hard. Stick the bolt up through the mount and see if it centers in the hole on the frame side mount. If it doesn't stick a chunk of 2 x 4 between the inside of the torque box and pry it over. Which side is determined by which way it needs to move.

We usually check both sides and center them or split the difference.
