Rally Top (I believe this is the brand of top) on my Wrangler I just purchased has an aftermarket top on it. Did some digging, and the replacement latches for the top would be near $100 from the manufacturer, and they will only sell them over the phone.

I am hoping someone here has had a similar need for replacement and can identify these latches, to be purchased from a third party. Pictures attached for reference.

That turnbuckle setup you have seems to be working well...maybe doubling up the turnbuckles to apply even pressure?

I have an American Fastback aftermarket top...buckles look similar.

I'm pretty sure you could find some OEM latches too and get them to work...worst thing you might need to do is some fiberglass work adding some new studs to the underside of the top.

$100 for those latches doesn't sound unreasonable.

Hi Mac

Thanks for the reply. I don’t totally disagree with your sentiment on the price, I am more worried about future failures since they appear to be a faulty product, or maybe the previous owner just abused the top.

I’ll look into the OEM, but those have gotten pretty pricey as well. It’s weird when I’m comfortable dropping 1K on steering gear box but penny pinching on a latch haha

I totally get you on being nervous about parts.

I just did seven reinstalls of thermostats... couldn't get it to stop leaking, then the brand new Napa was bad...I just don't trust new parts.

Have you thought of replacing your radiator with an aluminum racing one? I have done it on all three of my Wranglers. I also steer away from any electric radiator fans. That has all helped with needing to replace the thermostat every spring. Granted, the NAPA thermostats do tend to be fairy poor quality.

My PO installed a Napa Spectra sourced radiator and it's working flawlessly. I've learned to stop touching things that are working perfectly.

If I replaced my radiator I'd probably go with a Denso.

No direct experience...just seems to be the general wisdom of the forums.

My Jeep came with a one piece RallyTop hardtop when I bought it in 2016.

I don’t know if this will help you find a replacement, but mine has EBERHARD stamped on the inside.
