Fiddling around with the new camera, and some of its more obscure settings. A bit blown out, but the red in an otherwise B&W picture reminds me of "Schindler's List" where the technique was used to perfection.

This is Starship re-entering Earth's atmosphere from orbit traveling at approximately 17K MPH. The gases are being super heated into plasma. Note that this picture is not edited.
Put together a Caballero re issue 4/2/23 to skate around with my youngest daughter. 10 minutes after completion out skating with my kid and I tore my Achilles. Didn't crash, just popped and she pushed me home on my board.
Didn't go back to work till mid September.
And right before I got done with physical therapy and went back to work, I put together a Lucero re issue and rode it around the house
I'm a retard and a sucker for 1980s re issues( I have many). Was in Huntington Beach for the 4th, and watching old dudes skate around just fine bummed me out a little
Found a Rob Roskopp 1 reissue at a skate shop that I had to have. Wish it was the green like the first release, but it brings me joy.
Might go out and skate in the morning before its 115. The only part of my plan that isn't stupid
Getting old is bullshit. I just wanna skate a little

I never had the coordination to ride a skateboard, plus I grew up in the country on a dirt road so there wasn't much opportunity to learn. Cousins came in from NOLA, one of them decided to ride his board down the neighbor's paved, but VERY steep driveway. I was actually impressed at first, he flew down said driveway at warp speed no problem - until he hit the sandpile in the dirt road at the bottom. The board stopped instantly, he didn't. He flew across the road and into a barbed wire ("Bob wire") fence. Didn't really get hurt, thank Goddess.
Lots of guys rode boards when I was in High School, but in my college years, strap-on skates were a thing for a short time. We called them "Swaying Faggots" - typical HS bullshit.
