Random photos: Got anything interesting, unique, strange?

I thought it was some kind of seance

Pretty close! It was a "Witch dance", we were all gathered around a fake cauldron at this point. I got down on the floor and back up three times that evening - once in that dance, and twice in another one. I haven't been able to get up/down from the floor gracefully in several years, but our instructor (to my immediate right in the picture) has been having us do strength building exercises and they paid off. Of course, no rest for the wicked - now she wants us to do full on floorwork at the spring showcase. Its probably been something like 12 years since I've done any kind of floorwork. and I've never been particularly good/graceful at it. I guess this old 64 year old body still has a bit of life left in it...

Was fortunate to be able to score a coveted permit for the hike into Havasu Falls on the Havasupai reservation earlier this year for this past week.

The place is truly surreal; pictures don't do it justice, but thought I'd drop a few here.

Looking back from across Money, if you zoom in, you'll see people on the descent/ascent to access the bottom of the falls using chains anchored into the rock for hand holds. It's an estimated 75° incline.

It has a straight 6 AMC engine. Like TJs. Or did, before the mods.

Looks like the driveshafts are extremely steep.

Most, if not all of my metric wrenches I've purchased myself over the years. Most of my SAE wrenches I inherited from my father, plus a few purchases here and there. He didn't have a 13/16" - which is surprising as that happens to be the size needed for most of the hole saw arbors that I also inherited. NOS $7.99/shipped from eBay. Made in Taiwan.

Julie has been trying to see it with no success.

Very faint, almost due west, drops below the horizon fairly early in the evening. Best time is about 45 minutes to an hour after sunset. Binoculars are needed to see it well with the eyes. The camera picked it up well.

And what are you staring at in the photo...lol???

We were doing synchronous undulations while backing up at that particular point in the dance - I have to watch the dancer in front as she can't see behind her so it's all up to me to keep the position and spacing correct. Then we flip sideways facing each other and lock eyes as we undulate towards each other and do a flip and undulate backwards away. There's a lot that goes on in choreographies when changing positions.

Me and my oldest son were out exploring some back roads a couple evenings ago and came across this little Timber Rattler. It was only about two foot long and was having trouble getting up the sandy bank, it just kept sliding back down, so I helped it up with a stick.

As I drove off, I swear I heard it say ThankSSSSSS.
