I recently took on a project to help restore my 98 4.0 and black Raptor Lined the tub interior. I noticed a decent amount of rust under the carpets in my passenger side so that had to be taken care of first. After removing all of the interior components, I ground down and painted POR-15 in my floor pan. I scuffed all of the paint throughout the interior and gave it all a good cleaning. The prep is the hardest part followed by taping and masking. I took multiple nights after work to do this project but I’m really impressed with the results. I was limited by using a 6 gallon pancake compressor but I never noticed changes in texture other than a clog in the gun (this stuff sets up quickly), however I am super happy with the outcome and would recommend this stuff. I’ll keep you guys updated on how it holds up.

Looks really good!

I flipped my tub upside down and did the entire underneath. Then I did the entire inside, as you did. Definitely would do it all over again. I love it…

How many liters did the tub!? Wanting to do mine

Took 1 US gallon underneath and the same amount inside the tub. I sprayed a little heavier in certain areas. I have complete coverage underneath and inside my tub, except for the painted outside body panels…

Very nice! I’ve been wanting to do that to mine for a while! Did you use the sprayer that came in the kit or?

I know this is an old thread, but hoping I can get some help! Do you have to do any prep for all of the screw holes, or will the screws go back in easily if you just spray over them? Never used anything like this and first time working on an old car, but I'm wanting to tackle this on my 2002 TJ. TIA!

Yes you need to tape off anything threaded or holes that you plan to put a bolt back into. If you look at the pictures above your post you can see tha tape sticking out of come of the holes. It's easier than having to run a thread restore or tap thru all those holes. The seat studs should be taped also.

I wanted to reply to this since I had posted on the thread and asked about raptor lining the inside of the tub. My process was remove the seats and carpet, Clean and lightly sand with 80 grit, clean some more, then I sprayed 2 cans of rustoleum rust reformer. After that was dry I sprayed 2 cans of rustoleum gloss black. Again after that was dry I shot 2 bottles of the raptor liner using a regulator set at 47psi. I also sprayed the tire carrier and a few other little things with the raptor liner that was left over from the 2nd bottle. Very happy with hiw it came out. I did this over a Saturday and Sunday but the longer you can let everything dry the better. I also sprayed the dash with SEM CAMEL paint while I was at it. For the cost if you already have a regulator/air compressor the liner and dash/door panels/center console can all be done for around $220
