Nice setup! You could get a smaller footprint amp and mount it under the steering column.

Seems like that would rattle / vibrate like crazy, no?

I have had two amps hanging from the steering column for about 3 years. No rattles.Seems like that would rattle / vibrate like crazy, no?

Yeah, same here, two amps no issues, no rattles or anything negative. I had the 4 channel version of the Kenwood amp that @bobthetj03 previously posted, along with an Arc Audio mini 125.2. It was bulky and still worked. I since sold the Kenwood to another forum member and added an amp with built in dsp to go fully active.
@Chris - If you ever want to get more into audio, I would say this amplifer is perfect for our TJ, in terms of powers, quality and size. 5 channel amplifier, 7 channel dsp, and is only 1.3" x 3.3" x 4.3". Downside is cost, like anything made well.

Wow... that's not just a little expensive, that's WAY expensive!

I've been thinking about adding an amp to power the other 4 speakers at some point (right now I just have a mono channel amp powering the sub), but I'm not sure I'd want to spend nearly $700 on an amp!
That amplifier is more than an amplifier. It is a game changer and has a built in 7 channel DSP which increases the price. Also, if you buy from one of thier local authorized vendors it is cheaper. Only a couple in the USA, but you want to buy from a vendor so you have some support.
I think you are tech savvy since you run this forum, and make web-sites, so learning a DSP is time consuming but fun for the right person. If interested, download the DSP software to see if it interests you. This is how you program the sound, think bass and treble, but so much more like delays and frequencies.
Here is a link to their magazine about "how to use this amp/dsp".

I'll have to check that out! I wasn't able to find many places that sell it online, eBay was one of the first and only results. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms though, as the eBay listing is labeling it as "Match" as oppose to Audiotec Fischer.
