wow, you better be a decent welder or just throw that away right now. why not trim the cross member?

Welding that up is easier than cutting the cross member laying on my back.

That looks flimsy. I guess you plated it. Did you add bracing on the back side of the cut?

I would have cut the crossmember before that. The Currie bar should clear.
