Remanufactured PCM?

Hello, I just bought an extremely well-maintained 2006 LJR, and I was planning to move all the good parts from my current 2006 TJR to it (yes, the extra inches do matter when you have twins.. ), since I plan to sell the TJ.

While going through the LJ, I noticed that the PCM has a "remanufactured" label on it. I'm pretty familiar with the common 2005/2006 PCM issue, my current TJ is running a WranglerFix PCM, but I've never seen this type of remanufactured PCM before.

The LJ runs perfectly smooth and doesn't show any of the symptoms my TJ had before I installed the WranglerFix PCM. Did Chrysler have a remanufacturing program for these PCMs back in the early years, or does anyone know where this remanufactured unit might have come from?



and another question, is this a derale tranny oil cooler?

I am too lazy too go out in the garage now and take a look, but not that long ago i bought a spare ECM for my 04 sahara on marketplace. It turned out, best as I can tell, to be a unit remanufactured by Mopar. It's even in a Mopar box. So best as I can tell, Mopar did have some kind of reman program for em.

Looking forward to what Wranglerfix has to say about it however.

AFAIK there were some options from mopar until ~2019. They have an `R` prefix in the part number. But they were the same design as the originals, so the same issues are inevitable (though deferred a bit).
