Remote start for 98 Wrangler

I’m looking for a remote start system for my 1998 wrangler TJ. I have a manual transmission, crank windows, no alarm system, and manual door locks. From my understanding you can install a remote start system on a manual transmission, however I haven’t found a system that’s compatible with my year.

I bought my 98 in 2002 (4.0 with manual transmission) and it had an alarm system with remote start and electric door locks. It is possible to start in gear, so you gotta be careful. I never use it as I don’t see the benefit, so I keep the ON/OFF toggle switch on the dash in the OFF position for safety.

The system is a Crime Guard 745i made by Omega. That model is no longer available, but it’s still listed on Crutchfield’s web site so you can read up on its features. I think the remote start and electric locks were add-ons, but as I didn’t install it, I don’t know for certain.

I would just get someone pregnant, have a kid, and teach the kid to go outside on cold mornings and start the Jeep for you.

I’m looking for a remote start system for my 1998 wrangler TJ.

My remote starting system for my 5 speed is highly advanced. I think it's called a "wife". When it doesn't work, I go outside and start it myself.
