I have a 98 tj with a 2 inch body lift that I want to remove. My question is, do i need to replace the bolts or will the ones installed with lift work with the 2 inch pucks removed?

Thanks for the fast reply. Next question. Where do can you buy them. I have looked at several of jeep sites and can seem to find the original body mount bolts. It may not be calling them what they are. I assume I would search by "body mount bolts for jeep tj".

Were there modifications made anywhere like the addition of a t-case shifter relocation bracket that would have to be removed when the 2" BL is removed? 2" of body lift is where such modifications start becoming required.

Go to your local ACE Hardware. I guarantee they have what you need.

You need the same thread pitch bolts as the ones you remove, you just need them to be shorter in length.

I buy more TJ parts at the local farm store and Ace Hardware than anywhere else. It's become a running joke.

Yep. ACE has been my goto for probably 10 years now. They always have everything I need in terms of hardware, even the most obscure things you'd never find anywhere else.

Thanks for everyone replying. I have a ACE hardware that I frequent so no problem there. But what length bolt do I need. I can remove one of the current bolts for size and thread pitch but not sure of the length of bolt I will need.
