Hello all, I recently bought a TJ and I got a killer deal so I accepted the hideous body lift and bought it. It looked like it was done well, the jeep is in great shape. I hate the look of it, and I am already planning a full suspension makeover/lift this winter. I consider myself very mechanically inclined and I plan to take the body lift off myself. My question is....what all should I look for before removing the pucks? I know all of the below. I'm sure I'm missing something, and help much appreciated.
Remove fan shroud bolts and radiator support.
Unhook gas tank filler neck.
Check steering stem for extension.
Check transfer case for extension.
Chechen shifting linkage for extension.
Remove pucks one side at a time, only hand tightening the bolts until both sides are secured and body is on mounts.
Is this about it? Again any input before I tackle this would be awesome! Thanks all!
