After everyone's quick help with my missing sway bar, I'm back with another question.

I was starting to install a Daystar 1" body lift and when I got to the transfer case linkage relocation bracket I ran into a small issue.

The factory black rubber gasket or boot (circled in red in the photo below that I borrowed from elsewhere) fell apart as I was disassembling it, but I'm not sure what it's called. I've googled for a while now but since I'm not sure what it's called all I've found is this Crown Automotive kit that looks to include the piece like what I need, but it says it's only for 97-02 TJs and mine is an 04.

Can someone advise on what this rubber piece is actually called, or a part number or source for a new one? Thanks!

I agree with the cable up grade, however... i fixed my factor linkage. I used the parts from several donor jeeps, cleaned and lubed it. It funtions perfectly. I can see how the cable would be smoother. Im sure the linkage will require regular maintainace or it will go back to not working all that well and bind up. The cable was $150 ish if i remember my research, the linkage was free, minus time and frustration.

Mine needs attention too. Disconnected and hanging there. I imagine it didn't work too well after the skid plate spacers were installed.
