Retainer belt rail failure

I have a 98 TJ that I’ve purchased about a month ago and while replacing the top I noticed the right rear corner of the retainer belt rail had failed in the right rear corner. Is there anything I can do sort of welding to hold that down so it secures the soft top?

Drill a hole or two and bolt it down? Hard to know exactly what you mean when you say it failed but I am picturing in the right rear corner the spotwelds on top rusted out and the rail pulling up off the tub in the right rear corner?

I can when I get home but the top is loose in that corner and isn’t taught. You can tell the difference going down the rail and see where it starts pulling up
