RPM drop?

Anyone have an idea why my jeep drops RPM around 50-55mph? On the up shift, as soon as it shifts, the RPMs go down and when starting to accelerate it doesn’t until i pedal to floor..

Since you have an automatic, my reasoned guess is that you are hitting the lockout on the torque converter at that speed and that you're in the overdrive gear. With the torque converter no longer allowing slippage, the tire speed is dictating the engine rpm. With the 42RLE, the overdrive is very tall and you'd have very little power available at the low engine RPM. Pedal to the floor should trigger the kickdown to a lower gear 2 or 3.

Does it do the same thing with the OD off? If you have 3.07 gearing it would make it even worse.
