I would love to do it again. But I fear it will be a few years from now because of having just moved, a fixed income, blah blah. I'll get there again. I hope to do the Dusy/Ershim and much more of CO. & NM.

It saved my tube that’s for sure. Some dents on the underside but that’s what it’s there for, tube sliders lol. It didn’t tweak anything

Who would have thought tube bumpers and high lift jacks would have been so handy.

Dusy Ershim looks like fun. My new goal will be to hit up all the badge of honor trails in CA.

Update on Sergio, he finally made it in by 11:30 last night driving 270 + miles from the bottom of Big Sluice to his house on his trail fixed steering, his only problem was sore arms from no power steering.

For the record I lost the lower bolt on my track bar when I made a high speed run back up from Lily Lake because they lost my tracks in the rain and turned up Blackwood Canyon Rd because some other lost vehicles had just left tracks that way. I couldn’t see behind me with my jury rigged trail cover on. It fell out when I stopped to ask a family in a Bronco if they had seen the Yota, when I took off again I had no steering, fortunately Sergio showed up at the same time with a spare bolt and we were off again

Jury rigged cover, don’t laugh I was dry and toasty.

I drove all the way out from Big Sluice with blinders on.LOL
Also took a hit on the tank skid sliding into that big mud hole on the way to Buck Island Lake, I need a new one anyway. LOL

I got some of the video off the go pro. After uploading to youtube I noticed a few of them said "copyright claim" under them. My guess is the music playing over the radio

Started pouring while we were deflating the tires and then started snowing!

Snow stopped after about 3-4 hours.

What an epic journey! The weather definitely spiced things up. I don't think many can say they ran the Con in the snow, lol! Just got home a while ago. Stayed an extra day to relax at camp. Thanks again to everyone who made this one of the best Birthday adventures to date!

I got almost the same damage to my rear licence plate as @DrDmoney. I didn't get to take many pics, but I'll post what I have when I get the chance.
