My wife likes to ride in the jeep, so one year she got me a new soft top for Christmas! Old one was very ratty. I was very surprised, that was more than we usually spend on each other. So I had to step up my game the next year!
So where does a pellet smoker fall into that? Or an expensive pan set? An expensive mixer? A welder?

Well i got her equestrian riding lessons, so she was quite happy.

Most companies do now, Amazon does as well and they didn't use to. The out of state tax laws have become so complex that it's easier for companies to just charge it rather than take the risk of not colleting it and having the other state come after the retailer.anyone noticed that Savvy is charging taxes for out of California shipments now?

This is one explanation I found that makes sense...
If you’re a merchant who sells within the United States, sales tax due dates can be an unwelcome wake up call after an otherwise profitable year, especially if you’re new to the world of US sales tax. Between the different sales tax rules for each state, the introduction of new tax laws for out-of-state ecommerce sellers and marketplaces, and the penalties of overcharging or failing to remit sales tax, there’s no denying the sales tax compliance process has become more complicated over time.
