California Slickrock Trail CA Conditions

I was just wondering if anyone had tried the slickrock trail in CA this year. Is there any snow? I was planning on hitting that trail soon. Thanks

My guess is it's still buried under snow. Ebbets Pass I'm sure is still closed. We ran it last year the weekend before they changed the trail entrance to skirt the private property. I hear the new section is quite "sporty"!

A friend was in the area this past weekend (5/5/19) and there was still several feet of snow along Highway 4 in Arnold, elevation 3,999'. Since the Slickrock Trail ranges in elevation from 6724' - 7403' it may be July before it is passable.

A annual trip that I participate in on the nearby Mattley Meadows and Corral Hollow trails has been postponed from mid-June to mid-July due to this year's deep snowpack.
