This may be a dumb question, but I'm cleaning my frame tomorrow for a paint. I have some Eastwood pre painting prep. I'm also wondering if Windex would work too.
No, but wash it with Dawn, let it dry, remove as much rust as possible, scuff up the rest of the paint with scotch brite pad, clean with alcohol, use 2 coats of rust converter on the places that still have a little rust, paint the whole frame semi-flat black (factory color). This may be a dumb question, but I'm cleaning my frame tomorrow for a paint. I am a tad bit obsessed with clean frames, and other parts! If @Irun posted a pic of his I would have to pass that award along to him, the real king of clean!
I'm going to why not. If it can clean the dirt off my alloy wheels it can do anything lol
That’s what my brain was trying to recollect; it’s ammonia based and you want a VOC base. Thank you.No it does not it's ammonia based you need VOC base like Acetone. Perp-Sol is what we use in paint booth

I use a denatured alcohol from WalmartThis guy recommends alcohol too. Might as well get some to do the job right.
I'm getting a sense I need to create a "how to"Ok @Irun you need to start a new thread explaining your methods. That’s just crazy.
