Hi everyone, my first post in this forum.
My buddy @Chris G made me aware of this forum since I'm getting into my 01 TJ, which I bough last September

My steering box recently started leaking from the input shaft seal, and a pretty gross leak.
Original plan was to replace the seal to get me by for now, but after we removed the box and looked at the seal it was different. (Box is a Lares 405698)
I looked through the documents I had when I purchased the TJ and the box was replaced 4,000 miles ago. It's listed as a Durango HD upgrade. My thought is that a seal will not get much mileage before going again.

Now I'm looking at replacing the box with either Redhead, Blue Top or another reliable option.
What are you views, experiences and recommendations on these two companies?
I see PCS might be the ultimate premium brand, but look to see who maybe the 2nd/3rd

You should reach out to Lares. They have a limited lifetime warranty on most of their boxes. I know a couple of guys that run them and haven't had any problems.

If you decide on an other brand, just stay away from AGR.

Thanks - the Lares box was on the my TJ when I bought it.
I reached out to Lares directly via a internet messenger and they got back to me right away, confirming it would be covered under their warranty. I just need to go back through the original supplier to get the warranty process started.
This is great service from Lares but it would have been nicer to deal with them directly. In my case the box was already on my TJ.
