Steering wheel doesnt return to center anymore

I just replaced the steering wheel on my 2002, and the new one doesnt return to center. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. If anyone could help me figure it out that would be fantastic. Thanks!

Is it a original wheel or aftermarket. Clearly something binding, rubbing, not fitted correctly or over tighten

when I'm driving and I turn the wheel it just stays where I've turned it

Its an original, however its an 03-06 wheel on an 02, so I think that may have something to do with it
