Strange electrical issue at startup

When I let lt sit for a several days of a couple of weeks when I turn the key I get nothing. Blank gages and stereo. When I cycle the key a few times it starts right up and never does it again until parked for a while. Ideas?

Bad connection battery terminals or primary junction box connection. It could possibly be a ign switch also. That is where I would start.

My negative battery terminal was a little loose and I thought it may be that. Didn't fix it. I have loosenes and retightened battery connection in junction box too.

Have you cleaned both negative and positive battery terminals and posts. Before you reconnect them both should have shiny lead showing and then reseat them firmly

I havent cleaned them recently. I put in a new battery earlier this year along with new terminals.

Does power go through ignition switch for the dash and stereo?

I replaced the actuator and switch. Checked battery terminals. Still does it. Could multi function switch cause this? When it does this everything is dead. Dome lights, stereo etc.

Do the headlights shine bright if you turn them on with the key in the off position? sounds like a bad ground to me.
