I have wheeled my white 2.5L 97 3 speed auto with 3.73s twice in the Texas hill country with the Texas Jeepers. That 2.5L tackled every trail and hill and granite rock pile i dared to attempt.

Most people on here are pretty cool! Do we do what you suggest? Maybe. Surely a lot of us are enablers. I'm sure that's true on Mustang Forums just as much as Cooking Forums. In the end though, it is true, that if you want to build your rig around a certain tire size, there are things you must upgrade. I presume that many of us build our rigs as a hobby. We like to create problems as much as we like to solve them. We also like to get outdoors and use our machines as we built them to perform, to find out if they will do what we built them to do. We've all read the 100s of threads which say, "you're going to have to upgrade this...and if you upgrade that, you're going to need this...and you'd better not do that unless you first do this...etc., etc." Though many such commentators have good intentions, I've concluded that an equal number of them are rather engaging in a measure of less-than-obvious "guilt-transference-syndrome" - wherein and whereby they feel better about themselves when they can convince someone else to spend the same amount of money on upgrades that they have.

OK, I've just donned a flak-jacket, as I do not doubt I will have offended someone--it's nearly impossible to comment on anything these days (including the weather), without incurring some kind of backlash.
If you're interested in Hidden Falls, I'm a 15min drive to the park. I work on Saturdays but I can definitely get out there no later than noon this time of year.
