Background: I only use my radio as an amp for my Midland GMRS MXT275 and to use the dash speakers vs the Midland speakers. My locker wiring is toast and I'm tired of trying to find the problem. The pumps work fine. I want to add an Auxbeam to control the lockers, and a locker safety switch. I want to repurpose the spot where the radio is as that is an ideal location for the Auxbeam.

I'll use a MTX AWBTSW Bluetooth receiver/control and plug the GMRS into that. As a bonus, I get a BT connection to my phone for the rare times I want to listen to music. I'll use a
MTX MUD100.2 2-channel marine amplifier plus Kicker 51KSC504 KS Series 5-1/4" 2-way car speakers in the dash. I'll unhook the OEM woofer.

I'm printing a custom radio delete panel - prototype below.

The Question: I'm totally ignorant when it comes to audioplie stuff. Is this a reasonable setup? Should I replace and use the rollbar speakers as well?

Thoughts?

Nothing wrong with going that route . I will be removing the dash stereo and fabricating a magnetic mount for a tablet for navigation . I too am adding a Bluetooth amplifier system since we use the phone for music . I'll be using the stock speakers .
My GMRS radio has a Motorola speaker mounted to the center of the roll bar which is plenty loud .

For your rare use purposes, it sounds like it would work. Of course, the sound range will be limited by having just two 5 1/4” speakers, but the sound quality will be excellent by having them amp’d.
