Time for a new clutch

It's time for a new clutch. Can anybody help confirm before I order, as I'm seeing wildly different prices and part numbers out there on the internet. 2005 Rubi Unlimited 4.0L 6 speed.

Is there anything else I need. I want the best I can get

Looking at the reviews on this kit, people are saying the throw out bearing is plastic and trash, any upgrade for it?

It's actually composite not plastic and I've had no problems with mine... Over 15,000 miles so far. You could always get the Centerforce bearing if you're worried.

Here's the side by side comparison. It may be fine but I'm not getting back in there until it's time for a new clutch disc. The timken bearing is a lot nicer.

I bought a National brand throwout bearing, and it looks just like the Timken. I also bought a Timken Pilot bearing, but ended up using the pilot bearing included with the Luk Clutch kit. Its an INA brand, which is also a high quality bearing. I sent the Timken back.

You can purchase a LUK kit from Clutch City Online that includes the all metal TOB rather than the composite.

I wrote about the TO bearing in another thread. The plastic body version was a sloppy fit on the input shaft of my (new AX5) transmission. The Timkin fit with precision and came pre-greased with the right hi-temp grease.

I've seen many complaints about the look of the TOB now in some of Luk's clutch kits but I haven't yet seen anyone report that they actually had one fail yet. Have there been any verified first-hand reports of failures with the new style TOB?

I've installed 2 of them, 1 in my Jeep and 1 in a friend's, no problems with either.

I have just read some things. Sloppy doesn't fit well. I think I would feel better having the same thing or close to what is in it now.

I just replaced mine with a Valeo kit. It had a metal throw out as well, nice kit. Got it for $92 also.

It may be correct. What Im looking at says it's for the 2.4
