Picking up my trailer next week. If it all works out, I may book a campsite. I really want to see Moab, doing it with a group of enthusiasts that can help me navigate the pitfalls would be an awesome opportunity. Likely we will only be able to do 4 or 5 days of it aside from the travel days 2 out 2 back. What campsites are most people staying at? Didn't see any camping info on the website, and this thread is 83 pages.

I’m trying to stay at Slickrock but they aren’t taking reservations yet.

Moab valley won’t let me park my trailer in a spot.

I will try to stay current on the thread. Believe I would fit in the "intermediate" group. Need to get my trailer picked up and run some shakedown runs in it first. Not worried about the long drive, just want to make sure I bring everything I will need. Already have a long list of upgrade demands from my wife. Including an awning, seating, a bed, kitchen, blah blah blah. If it was just me an air mattress and a couple packs of hot dogs and I am good for a week.

I’m still trying to convince someone in my household to go with me, they keep whining about a 19 hour drive or something🤷🏻‍♂️
Has the someone been there before? My gf dreaded the first trip until she got there. We’ve now been there three times over two years. It’s one of her favorite places.

We’ve been to Colorado a couple of times but not Utah. We always travel together and that’s not possible with a little TJ, and I would really like to drive it out there. Is anyone driving any distance with more than one passenger and gear? The Moab area looks awesome.

I’ve driven there and back with two other passengers and everything we needed. Even my 40L fridge but I do have an LJ so I have a bit more room.

I'm not sure on others but I have a reservation at the KOA in Moab.

We're pretty sure we're going to get a refund on the money we put down on a condo and bring our Luna Rover.
Still planning on Moab Valley?

Moab Valley wouldn’t let me get a 45’ spot for a RTT.

Slickrock wasn’t taking reservations this early so KOA looked like the way to go.

I always like KOA's, it's probably about the same $$ as Moab Valley. I want to look closer at the KOA. Wifey wants the hot tub, pool, and other conveniences. I do to for that matter. 😁

My cabin is the same price as what I was going to do for the 45’ spot. Plus their $33 membership will pay for itself on this trip at 10% off.

I have stayed twice at Canyonland Rv. in town, not bad cabins and had a pool. Plus across from Moab Brewery. Decided to do condo this time, to save bringing so much stuff.

The KOA there is really nice, that's where we always stay. I like the KOAs because the kids can take off on their bikes & screw around without too much worry.

We went the cabin route too (DELUXE!!!$$!!). We will see you there, the world's sweetest Sahara will be parked out front.

Anyone here interesting in golfing that week? My BIL is flying down from NY & renting a Jeep for the week, we're going to try & get a round in at the local course. Room for 2. Or we can all just take the place over. I wonder if they allow TJs on the course?
