TJ hydraulic clutch fluid

So I want to periodically syphon some clutch fluid and add new-the question is what the hell do we put in there for a 97 TJ? I actually did this before and my pickled brain is not helping. I did search on this site first so as to not bother you guys but came up empty. My memory is pointing towards brake fluid, DOT3 is this correct for the clutch reservoir? Also no mention in my manual.

The clutch master cylinder is dot3 brake fluid. In the gearbox, I use 10w30 synthetic.

DOT 3/4 is probably now the most common and is a bit of an upgrade over DOT 3 and correct as well. Don't even consider DOT 5 which is incompatible.

I noticed in my last visit to our local parts store that there's a few different overpriced brands of "hydraulic clutch fluid" with wondrous claims coming just short of promising better shifting. What a load of crap.
