My 2006 tj 4.0won't start. It was running perfect never had an issue. 5 minutes later i tried to start it and it just clicks and the guages started going nuts. I disconnected and reconnected the battery and the guaged were fine and it fired right up. It did the same thing about 5 starts later and the same remedy fixed it. However it just did it and there is nothing. It just clicks anf then the whole thing blacks out, the dashboard radio, lights, everything. I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery just to get any lights to turn on. And then as soon as I turn the key it clicks and shuts down again. I know the battery is good and all terminals to the battery are tight. I'm wondering if a sensor or computer is shot, but I'm kind of at a loss here. I dont know what woupd make it black and not be abke to get any power to it when it was fine 5 minutes prior.

Pretty much the same solution as the other 500 times this gets asked about. You need to clean the terminals and battery posts to clean and shiny bright. The corrosion build up in there is insulating the current path from a complete connection.
Yea that was the first thing I made sure of. I will double check if they are perfect, and report back

I bought a new battery when I got it tested they said the Cca was a little low. So I bought a new one. It’s still doing it though.
After installing the new battery. There is a buzz under the starter relay when trying to turn it over. And the guages are still going nuts after turning it over
Just bought a new battery after they said the cca was a tiny bit below and has continued. I have attachments I posted below

I was having some similar erratic electrical behavior last year in the TJ, I narrowed it down to an ignition switch. I did so by jumping the switched side of the starter relay to isolate the battery side of the starter circuit from the ignition switch side of the starter circuit. When I did that the Jeep started up reliably over and over which told me there was an issue with the ignition side of the circuit.
