If you don’t need the battery, buy the combo , return the battery. Impact price drops to $164
I'd need the battery. I only have DeWalt tools and batteries right now because I've gotten such good deals on them. I do plan to make the swap eventually though. I have an old rigid drill and impact driver that my dad gave me, so once that quits I'll buy one of the Milwaukee combo kits and go from there.

@Zorba this M12 1/2" Impact dropped another $20 (if you already have a charger). It doesn't seem to show up in HD's Labor Day sale, but their website is a steaming pile, always. I bought this one a week or two ago when it was $249. It's $229 for another 2 days.
Yea, I finally got on. Looking for the bare tool. HD is $175 - which I can do that all day long, don't insult my intelligence. Waiting on Amazon...

I've been watching circular saws to replace my cheap corded model. Looks like the batteries and charger alone are currently $350, so $100 for the saw. A couple more large batteries will come in handy this fall for yard cleanup.

One thing to consider is Amazon is not an authorized Milwaukee dealer. I found out the hard way when I couldn't get a warranty claim on a bad battery
