Torquing Pitman Arm Nut

When l torque pitman arm nut should l assemble drag link and tie rod to steering knuckles and turn steering wheel to left till stops on steering knuckles hit axle to take the load of torquing nut off steering box? Seems to make more sense than just torquing nut with steering box unsupported taking 185# of torque.
 
yea 185 on a steering box is nothing. we used to have bolts that held the vertical stabilizer on a airplane. there were 16 bolts that had to go to 1900 took 6 people to do it. a 6ft long torque wrench and 8ft of 1 1/4 inch extensions trying to hold all that shit standing on a greasy airplane skin and everyone knew if somebody dropped their part it would go right through the skin. 8 in 12 hrs was all you could do ! so 150 is nothing. wont hurt the box

Not worried about the three bolts. I was just worried about the shaft and damaging the pump itself by shaft just turning while torquing with nothing attached to pitman arm. Does shaft just 'dead end' in pump while torquing?
 
If the Jeep is on the ground it won't move. If it's on stands leave the key out and the steering lock will hold it. It might catch on fire and I don't have his insurance so you're on your own.

HAVE TO FESS UP! I really over thought this one. Assembled Currectlynk with Jeep on stands tires/ wheels off. Tightened pitman arm nut to 185# and steering shaft didn't even move. Live and learn.
