True 4" lift springs

Yours is kind of opposite of me though, so I actually hope that yours does sag a bit. I have a small front bumper, half doors, soft top, no back seat, etc. if yours stays at 4" then mine will more than likely be higher.

Well, we will see. Typically I don't run the doors or half top. I am only running them because it's Summer. But I'll measure the lift and see what it comes out to with all of my extra gear.

Did you get the HD rears or the standard rears?

I actually haven't measured my compressed Currie 4" springs. Suppose I should do that...

It should be noted that Jerry Bransford got the HD rear springs, his sat a touch higher as well.

Serbronze sounds like you're gonna want the regular 4" TJ springs. Unless you run full rear bumper with carrier, hi lift + corner armor, then the HD is prob to much. I don't have a hard top or back seat, but I have a rear storage unit that can get loaded if I want it to. Plus my rear bumper and carrier is 150lb without anything on it.

Oh yea, I wasn't trying to imply that I was going to get the HD springs. Based on what Chris has on his Jeep, and to ensure that we are comparing apples to apples when they are installed I want to make sure that I know what he is installing.

This is what I'm working with on the rear. I can weigh the 33" wheel and tire, but I'm not removing the bumper and carrier to get a weight on them. :p

Update: New springs are in. The front end was raised by 1 5/8", but it was sagging by 3/4". After it settles we should be good. The rear is sitting about 1/2" higher than it should (so about 4.5" of lift) but should settle right at 4".

They are much longer than the springs that came out.

Thanks guys. It's taller than I was expecting, but my wife took it out and I had to actually ask her if she noticed anything different so it's definitely not an issue. I've got some sliders on order, so once those are on I'm pretty much done (yea right). I would really like to replace the winch line with synthetic rope, but that's just not in the cards anytime soon.

Taller indeed, but I think that looks spot on height wise!

So how did you like the Currie 4" springs? How's the ride and what lift height did it settle to?

They have one of the longest free lengths on the market, so I was able to swap out my Bilstein 5100s with long travel Rocksport shocks. I’ve gained quite a bit of up and down travel in front, and a touch more in the rear.

The ride was the same since I didn’t change the shocks with the springs, those came later. Once I swapped out the shocks, there was a night and day difference in the small event harshness that the Bilsteins are notorious for having.

They didn’t really settle at all. Last time that I measured it was 4.5” front and back. My Jeep is fairly light so I suppose that if I had body armor, under armor, a hard top, doors, and a passenger it probably end up being 4”.

I have Arb bumpers front/rear, winch and spare and Carrier. Softop. Think I'd get 4" or more?

Just looked over your post it looks like my jeep weighs close to what you have. So I should expect 4.5"

I got my 4” Currie springs in and my Ruby sits at exactly 4” front and rear. The ride is better than any other Jeep I’ve driven yet!
