Not sure, but if you could get Jesus and a video camera involved, I'd watch the video.

I almost choked on my water when I read that

How do I remove the tub of my jeep tj without a lift using 4x4s to hold it up?

A jack and some very tall jack stands would work.

Of course that's only going to life it up. How you're going to get the frame out from under it (especially with the wheels and everything still attached) is going to be next to impossible.

Those 4x4's will need to extend way past the outsides of the tub, in order to clear the frame. Then prop them up with blocks, etc. and remove the frame. Once the frame is removed, I'd support the 4x4's in the middle too, just for grins.

Rent or borrow an engine hoist.

Well if anyone is interested, I will be doing a step-by-step frame replacement video for my LJ soon. Im currently looking for a LJ frame at the moment where I called everywhere with no luck so far (other than getting a new frame from Throttle Down Kustoms). I will also be doing it in my shop (no lift) but I do have an engine hoist and my tractor with a front end bucket loader to assist.

So if anyone knows where I can get an LJ frame for a 2006 (preferably no rust, ha ha see TJfest carnage post)
PLEASE CONTACT ME.

There was a rolled LJ at: All Parts Auto Salvage 417-866-3549 Springfield MO recently.

Don't know if the frame is straight or rusty but worth a call? Not too far way either.

*edit - I called, they have a good frame. He said $1500 if you want it.

Hey, no problem. If it works out let me know when you come pick it up. We can grab lunch.
That place wants my credit card info, just to take pictures? I understand it takes "time" to do that but honestly how long does it take to take a couple of pictures for a potential buyer.

I deal with this guy, currently no LJ frame but some on the way.
Problem with LJ frames are they come from collisions and potentially not straight.

Looking pretty hard at this for mine and another guy, but we're pretty far removed from being able to just swing by there. Is this guy pretty legit? Hate to make a 18hr trip for nothing.
