Hi All,

I upgraded my instrument cluster bulbs to LEDs today. Pretty easy job. Waiting for it to get dark so I can see the fruits of my labor. While I had the parts of the dash disassembled, I found two connectors and I was wondering if someone could tell me what they are for. One connector was under the top of the dash just above the glove box. The second one was just to he right under the steering column. Pictures are in that order. Thanks in advance for any insight.

then one under dash i believe is for keys with a chip.
If you have a factory black key you do not have a chip

Thanks for the info on the second plug, for some reason the LJ does not has the chip key but it will not be for too long.

What kind of car is the one on your profile picture?
Like to ask is its a Yugo but can see the picture well.

I believe the sentry key plug has more pins if I recall the factory service manual has page for plug types and locations

it is a Yugo. Its a Yugo that has been stretched and widened with a Turbo rotary motor with a full custom tubular chassis. it belongs to a friend of mine who has more money and time than i do.

Oh OK, this maybe a sentimental or nostalgic car for him. They were made on Yugoslavia, that where the name comes from.
It was cool to know that someone keep one, I was too young to keep mine and when the parts start to scarse due the production halt I was more concentrated on the XJ than on a street car.

To have 23 cars maybe he has lots of money or he really like headaches... LOL . I know many guys from that area that like to have many cars too, not sure why.
