Understanding Tire Size and Gearing

Yes I did an oil change on the gearbox first thing when I got it ,so I know that's spot on. Everyone is coming back with, re- gear it to 4:10. The thing is it spins the wheels off the mark and goes up into second and pulls strong. Just won't go into third. But I'll double check the oil level.

Yep just make sure the ATF is all the way up to the full mark. Where an automatic transmission is concerned it's better for it to be slightly overfilled than slightly underfilled.

I don't think gearing down will help if its reving to 4k in 2nd. Something is going on with the transmission.

I looked at it to day the transmission oil is on the minimum. mark, so I'll top it up but not sure that would stop it going into third or possibly it could..?

low fluid is the # 1 initial cause of everything trans related. Get it to the full mark or a shade over, then report back.
