I see often people with half doors and or soft tops. Mix n’ match, etc.

However I’ve noticed that I haven’t seen any jeeps like mine where the half doors have sliding glass windows. Is this unique to the 2002 model? More expensive feature? I love my sliding glass windows. I honestly probably wouldn’t want full doors because of how awesome the sliding glass ones are. Anyone here have them and wanna share their thoughts?
Also let me know about the things I said above^

Update: I looked it up and you can buy them online and what’s funny is all the postings have my color jeep. Amber fire (bronze/orange)
Now I’m thinking that this was something the previous owner bought for the jeep and not a stock thing. Let me know guys.

But was it in original stock item? That’s what I’m trying to get at
There’s no telling. Dealers add stuff to jeeps all the time. My local dealer has one with beadlocks and lift kit. Doesn’t mean it’s factory optioned, just means the dealer had it installed.

I bought mine from the second owner recently. I’m guessing the first owner did it because mine came with a hard top thats not to a 2002

The PO owner added the sliding windows in '12 (he has notes on everything in the maintenance log book). To be honest I've had trouble adjusting to them when they're both slid open. They seem to interfere with my field of vision with the center bar and edge of the glass itself.

I went to put the vinyl windows back in to see how I liked them and damn if he didn't seal the zipper on the drivers window. I didn't catch this when I bought the Jeep as the vinyl windows were in the back and it just recently cooled off enough to need them.

I can only assume from the sealed zipper he was trying to alleviate noise and eventually went with the sliders. I'll give them a honest chance and hopefully I will adjust but for me the jury is still out on them.

Bestop makes a set. Not as common, due to price, but I’ve seen a tj or 2 with them locally.

Holy #### I had no idea they are that pricey. I'm really glad the PO bought them cause if I had paid that and couldn't adjust to them I'd be one ill person.

I had them. They were rare but I didn't like them at all. They came with half doors I bought on CL. The driver's side windows would give a reflection of the passenger window that threw me off when driving. I also didn't like that I couldn't stick my arm out of the window like normal doors. Sold them for $400 and bought a used plastic set for the trails. I have full doors for winter.

I have both sliding and zipper. I prefer the sliding by a long shot. No comparison. I got mine for under $60 I think. Crazy good deal. I travel with my zipper ones incase it rains. Sliders are on now till Spring. Hate the zipper ones and if I didn't have the sliders I would put my full doors on, which are okay, but I prefer the 1/2 doors. lol
