Unknown Plug Identification Help

Happy Saturday All,

So, this morning I had started preparing for a long day of wrenching and took the ole' girl up to the quarter car wash for a de-greasing bath. Before I stared the bath water, I noticed this plug that I've been putting off for a long time and thought to myself, I wonder what that goes to. The plug is pictured below. Located on the passenger side of the engine block, just above the oil filter. Aaaannnndddd Go!

That is not a connector or plug. It is a harness retention clamp that pushes on over a stud welded to the firewall. There are typically 2-3 of them along that main harness.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen.
So it's function, or purpose, is to retain the wiring harness to the engine at those specific locations? It sure did have me scratching my head because they look so similar to spade connections. Another day of learnin.
