Valve cover washer

I'm in the process of replacing my valve cover gasket with the fel pro gasket and grommets. During the tear down I discovered one of the special metal washers was missing along with the grommet. The grommet is no problem since it comes with the gasket set but I need an OEM washer with integral sleeve.

Does anyone know if this washer is available separately? If so, do you have a part number? I have the service manual but no parts manual. The parts man at the dealer says it's not listed but I'm not sure he even looked.

My Jeep is a 2006 LJ with the 4.0l engine.

Also, if anyone has a link to a 2006, downloadable parts manual it would be much appreciated. I'm not even sure such a thing exists but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks!

Chris,
It's hard to tell from the eBay pics, but those appear to be the rubber grommets, not the washer/sleeve piece I'm looking for.

We are Mopar only shows using RTV not a gasket unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

I wouldn't be surprised if the part you're looking for is not available. I've found that is the case with a lot of little oddball parts.

Hmmm, I wish I knew what exactly it was you're talking about. Any chance you have an image? It's been a while since I did my valve cover gasket.

Here is a pic of the missing part

I thought you said it was missing...it's right there in your pic. j/k

Good luck finding that.

Pretty certain my ACE Hardware has those. Not sure what they're called, but I know I've seen them before.

Go down to your local ACE Hardware and look, I'll bet you'll get lucky.

I can pretty much guarantee that you won't find that in any part diagrams. The next best place would of course be eBay.

The missing part didn't show up in my picture so I tool a pic of of one of the 14 that I still have. Lol!

Great idea on Ace Hardware.

I did find a good parts man to help. The part is discontinued but is called a "torque limiter sleeve" in the parts book.

Thank you all!

A torque limiter sleeve, interesting! I never would have known that.

Thanks guys for jogging my memory. I was too focused on getting the OEM part to think outside the box. I had two of the pictured rubber mounts in my junk box. I pulled one apart and shortened the sleeve.

If I hadn't had these "in stock" I'm sure Ace Hardware would have had something.

I just looked in my toolbox and I have a bunch of these I've collected from over the years (from Jeeps, motorcycles and other cars). They're pretty easy to find at ACE as well if I remember correctly.

Glad you got it all figured out!

Me too. I just went brain dead for a bit.

Oh crap! It might have been a senior moment.

Chris. If you still have this part, could I purchase one from you? I had no luck at ACE. Will check junk yards in the meantime.
