Very quick gasket question RE: water pump replacement

Ordered what I thought was the correct felpro gasket for my water pump (2004 wrangler sport)

Pulled it out as I'm about to reinstall everything and I see that it's marked 98-2000 for 4.0 (my) engine.

Can I use this gasket on my pump? It looks nearly identical to the one that came with the pump itself.

Yeah I see now that they are different. Ugh. Bottom one is the one that came with and comes in noticeably further.

Confused because several sites including RockAuto say that it fits all model years despite being marked for 98-00

It's fine, it seals the entire internal area.

It will work fine. It looks just like the one that came with my MOPAR pump that I bought last year.
