Washington Washington Exit 38?

Heard of a few people going off-roading on a little backroad off Exit 38 from I-90. Not rock-crawling or anything, just a little trail. Wondering if anyone in the seattle/washington area has been here?

Heres a REALLY old post from a toyota forum of someone in the same place. It's probably changed a bit since that was last posted but i hear it's still a good trail.

I’m about 99% certain I saw that place when we were driving back on I-90 from Seaview to Spokane last Saturday. It’s a giant area on the West end of a lake, I think. There were some trucks and stuff parked out there. Lots of washouts, low areas. It wasn’t really a trail so much as an area. I could be wrong.

I would check and make sure anything in that area is even open to wheeling anymore. During the winter we use to go out on some of the forest service roads farther eat and play in the snow but that is the only wheeling I've done off I-90 on the westside.

You're better off to go to Evans Creek or Elbe or Walker Valley or Reiter IMO.

I don't think I've been off of exit 38 specifically. Tinkham Rd (think it's exit 32, or 42?) is a forest service road in that same area with several branch off's that are really fun in the winter once the snow falls.

And I'd check right now because a lot of stuff is closed for fire restrictions. I know most of the stuff around me (exit 93) is shutdown right now.

Oh yeah i’ve heard of people going to that one too. What type of trails were there? Just gravel forest service roads or some more technical stuff?

Unknown to me. It looks like fun, and if you or any other locals decide to give it a try, let me know. Until I replace my tranny, I'm stuck trailering to the trails, so I have to deal with that...

regular forest service roads, lead to look outs or just dead ends. Once the snow falls enough, then they are really fun.

Have to just echo others, as far as I know it's just a forest service road that may or may not be legal to drive on these days. We mostly visit the forest service roads once a few feet of snow have fallen though so I can't say what is under that

Don't go alone as cell service can get spotty up there. And being stuck in the snow SUCKS.
