I read the installation guide. I’m going to use anti-seize.

The one thing I don’t like about these is the upper bumpstop uses an allen head bolt.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of allen bolts in that sort of application either. I understand why they did it in this case though. The hole in the bump stop isn't big enough for a hex head. What's the thought process behind using anti seize rather than Rock Jock's recommendation?

Nutsert vs cut threads is irrelevant.

The purpose of the loctite is to secure the bolt in place without over tightening. If the bolt is over tightened, the bolt head will be pulled into the bump stop material.

Red loctite requires heat to remove. I would use it on the outside of a nutsert but not on the bolt threads. I want to be able to remove it without much difficulty. Just don’t over tighten.

Edit: on second thought, if you tapped 3/16” there’s not much thread so red loctite would likely break free pretty easily. I’d do it like the instructions say if I wasn’t in my situation.

Antiseize makes it easier to move the bolt head all the way through the bump stop puck. But then you have to clean the bolt off before you replace it with loctite.

I think he means that some of the design philosophy changed when Currie divided into two companies. I’m not really ”in the know” though.

Currie - axles
Rock Jock - suspension

I think the bumpstops are the best available. They do something no other bumpstop system does; retain the springs.

honestly, an offset bump stop can act as a spring retainer. Plus, I'd bet the perch above with the jounce never hits dead center of your bump stop, no matter how the axle is positioned (fully compressed and/or fully articulated).

Currie knew what they were doing when they wrote their instructions on how to install their product.

The front lower coils cannot be reasonably retained with any bump stop. The rears don't care about concentricity because of the pigtail.

Any adjustments for pinion angle and the track bar length will change the contact points of the upper and lower jounces.

I watched 64 beadlock bolts with blue loctite gall in one year.
